Warranty Policy
At ShotPoles, we stand behind our products and aim to keep you on snow with as little downtime as possible.
This Warranty Policy works alongside our Return Policy and Crash Replacement Program. If your product has been damaged in use, including from a crash, fall, impact, travel, terrain, leverage, or other real-world conditions, please review our Crash Replacement Program. Our Return Policy applies to refund requests.
1. Limited 1-Year Warranty
ShotPoles ski pole structural components are covered by a Limited 1-Year Warranty against verified defects in materials or workmanship, beginning on the date your order is delivered.
If we determine that a structural component has a verified manufacturing defect during the warranty period, we may repair or replace the affected component at our discretion.
This is a limited warranty. It does not cover all damage or all product components, and it does not apply to damage caused by crashes, misuse, impact, leverage, terrain, travel, modification, improper storage, or normal wear and tear.
2. Components Covered by the Limited 1-Year Warranty
The Limited 1-Year Warranty may apply to verified manufacturing defects in structural ski pole components, including:
- upper ski pole shaft
- lower or base ski pole shaft
- grips
- structural clamp components
- other core structural pole parts, if determined by ShotPoles to be defective
If a warranty claim is approved, ShotPoles will replace or repair only the affected component, not necessarily the full pole set.
Customers must retain all usable parts from the original order unless instructed otherwise.
3. Removable Selfie Stick Coverage
The removable selfie stick / camera pole assembly is covered only for verified defects reported within 7 days of delivery.
After that 7-day period, the removable selfie stick is not covered under warranty.
This distinction exists because the removable selfie stick is a filming component used in an inherently crash-prone environment. Once used on snow, it becomes difficult to distinguish a manufacturing defect from damage caused by impact, leverage, terrain, loading, handling, or unintended use.
The removable selfie stick is designed to be a serviceable, replaceable component.
4. What Is Not Covered
The following are not covered under warranty:
- crashes, falls, or impact damage
- bent or broken poles caused by force, leverage, terrain, accidents, or travel
- damage caused by misuse, unintended use, or failure to follow product guidance
- damage caused by attaching incompatible or excessive loads
- lost baskets, accessories, or removable parts
- cosmetic wear from normal use
- normal wear and tear
- damage caused by modification, alteration, or improper storage
- removable selfie stick claims reported more than 7 days after delivery
These situations may still qualify for support under our Crash Replacement Program or through our replacement parts store.
5. Use Guidance for the Removable Selfie Stick
The removable selfie stick is designed for filming, not force.
To reduce the risk of damage:
- do not use the selfie stick while pole planting
- do not use it in bumps, trees, rough terrain, or anywhere your poles are likely to take impact
- do not attach anything other than compatible action cameras or compatible phone mounts
- misuse may bend the component or damage your camera
Because we cannot control how the removable selfie stick is used, loaded, impacted, or leveraged after delivery, it is treated as a replaceable filming component rather than a warrantied impact component.
6. How to Submit a Warranty Claim
To submit a warranty claim, email us with:
- your order number
- a description of the issue
- clear photos and/or video showing the product and the problem
For removable selfie stick defect claims, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery.
For structural pole warranty claims, you must contact us within the 1-year warranty period.
ShotPoles reserves the right to request additional photos, video, proof of purchase, or return of the affected component before approving a claim.
7. Crash Replacement Program
If your ShotPoles are damaged during skiing, crashes, falls, travel, transport, hiking, or other real-world use, that situation is handled under our Crash Replacement Program, not this warranty.
The purpose of that program is to help customers replace only the parts that need replacing, without purchasing a full new set.
8. Replacement Parts
We built ShotPoles to be serviceable wherever possible. Many components can be replaced individually.
Replacement parts and accessories are available through our replacement parts store.
9. Relationship to the Return Policy
If you would prefer not to proceed with a warranty claim or crash replacement and instead want a refund, that request is governed by our Return Policy.
Use-related damage does not convert a warranty issue into a refundable return.
10. Consumer Rights
This warranty gives you specific rights. You may also have additional rights under applicable consumer protection laws, and nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Final Notes
By purchasing and using ShotPoles, customers acknowledge that:
- skiing and outdoor use involve inherent unpredictability
- poles and camera components may be exposed to impact, leverage, and wear
- the removable selfie stick is a replaceable filming component and is only covered for verified defects reported within 7 days of delivery
- approved claims may be resolved by repair or replacement of the affected component only
Our goal is simple: keep you skiing, keep you filming, and replace only what actually needs replacing.
