Warranty Policy
At ShotPoles, we stand behind our products and want to keep you on snow with as little downtime as possible.
This Warranty Policy works alongside our Return Policy and Crash Replacement Program. Please review those pages as well:

1. Warranty coverage for manufacturing defects
We cover verified manufacturing defects in the structural ski pole components for 1 year from delivery.
If a product arrives with a defect, or if you believe a component has a manufacturing issue, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can evaluate it as a potential defect claim.
To submit a claim, please email us with:
- your order number
- a description of the issue
- clear photos or video of the product
If we determine the issue is a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace the affected component at our discretion.
2. 7-day defect reporting window
Customers have 7 days from delivery to identify and report a manufacturing defect.
This 7-day window is important because ShotPoles are sporting goods used in active outdoor environments. Once the product has been used for skiing, travel, hiking, or other outdoor activity, it becomes difficult to distinguish a manufacturing defect from damage caused by use, impact, terrain, leverage, or handling.
After 7 days from delivery, damage to the selfie stick or camera pole assembly is assumed to result from use and is no longer treated as a warranty defect.
3. What is covered under warranty
Warranty coverage may apply to verified manufacturing defects in the following components:
- upper ski pole shaft
- lower or base ski pole shaft
- grips
- structural clamp components
- other core structural pole parts, if determined to be defective
If a warranty claim is approved, we replace only the defective or affected component, not the full pole set.
Customers must retain all usable parts from their original order unless told otherwise.
4. What is not covered under warranty
The following are not covered under warranty:
- crashes, falls, or impact damage
- bent or broken poles caused by force, leverage, terrain, or accidents
- damage caused by misuse or unintended use
- lost baskets, accessories, or removable parts
- cosmetic wear from normal use
- damage occurring after the 7-day defect reporting window where defect cannot be verified
These situations may still qualify for reduced-cost replacement through our Crash Replacement Program.
5. Selfie stick and camera pole assembly
The integrated selfie stick and camera pole assembly is a serviceable component and is not covered under warranty after the 7-day defect reporting window.
Why: skiing is unpredictable, and people ski different terrain, at different speeds, in different snow conditions, and with different camera setups. Because we cannot predict or control all the ways the selfie stick may be used, loaded, impacted, or leveraged, we do not warranty that component beyond initial defect inspection.
The selfie stick is designed for filming, not force.
Each ShotPoles package includes use guidance stating:
- this pole is made for filming, not force
- do not use the selfie stick while pole planting
- do not use it in bumps, trees, or rough terrain or anywhere your poles take impact
- do not attach anything other than action cameras or compatible phone mounts
- misuse may bend the pole or damage your camera
The selfie stick is intentionally designed as a replaceable component. This is a safety-forward design choice. It is better for that part to fail than to transfer force into the skier, another person, or the rest of the pole.
If the selfie stick is damaged from use, crash, impact, or leverage, it can be replaced through our Crash Replacement Program or through our replacement parts store.
6. Crash Replacement Program
If your ShotPoles are damaged during skiing, crashes, falls, travel, or other real-world use, that situation is handled under our Crash Replacement Program, not warranty.
The purpose of that program is to help customers get back up and running without having to purchase a full new set.

7. Replacement parts
We built ShotPoles to be serviceable wherever possible. That means many components can be replaced individually.
Replacement parts and accessories are available here:

8. Return policy relationship
If a customer prefers not to proceed with a warranty or crash replacement and instead wants a refund, that request is governed by our Return Policy.
Using or damaging the product does not automatically convert a warranty issue into a refundable return.

9. Final notes
By purchasing and using ShotPoles, customers acknowledge that:
- skiing and outdoor use involve inherent unpredictability
- poles and camera components may be exposed to impact, leverage, and wear
- the selfie stick is a replaceable filming component and not a warrantied impact component after the 7-day defect reporting window
- approved claims may be resolved by replacing the affected component only
Our goal is simple: keep you skiing, keep you filming, and replace only what actually needs replacing.
