ShotPoles started because we wanted a better way to capture those moments without the hassle of juggling gear or freezing our hands off trying to film.

In 2022, our family packed up our lives in Ontario and moved to British Columbia, a place that feels like an endless playground for outdoor adventures. Skiing quickly became a family tradition, but trying to film our kids on the slopes? That was a different story. Picture me with two ski poles in one hand, a camera in the other, and zero balance. It was a comedy of errors, many missed opportunities to capture those memories, and honestly, it was taking away from the fun.

As a product designer with over a decade of experience, I couldn’t stop thinking, There’s gotta be a better way.

And so, ShotPoles was born - a ski pole with a built-in camera mount. Simple, practical, and exactly what I needed to capture the action while staying in it. They’re effortless to use, durable enough for any adventure, and designed to keep you in the action.

After plenty of prototypes (and even more crashes), we launched ShotPoles on Kickstarter in Fall 2024. The response was incredible, and now we’re proud to share this tool with adventurers everywhere. Whether you’re carving fresh powder, hiking to breathtaking views, or chasing your kids down the hill, ShotPoles makes it effortless to capture the moments that matter most.
